Alberta J. Kaminski

Alberta J. Kaminski (Boice), 77, took her Heavenly flight to be high on that Mountain peacefully with all her children and grandchildren by her side on March 23, 2018. She was born August 4, 1940 to her late parents Theodore Boice and Mary Wilson. Alberta was an accomplished cook, enjoyed outdoor activities with the family, and had a love for animals. Music was a passion in her life that she shared with her family.

Alberta is preceded in death by her son, Donald A. Mills Jr.; sisters, Lee Ann Sadler (Boice) and Rose I. Skinner (Boice); and husband, Frank J. "Turk" Kaminski. She is survived by her children, Donita Lehman of Medina, Barbara Pride (Mayfield) of Akron, Harry (Donna) Mayfield Jr. of Akron, David Mayfield of Seville; grandchildren, Bonita, Michael, Susanne, Kari, James II, David, Eric; 13 great-grandchildren; nieces and nephews, Butch, Liz, Anna, Jimmy, Edith, Rose, Doris, Terry, Jerry Paul, Helen; and other family and friends.

Visitation will be held from 4-6pm on Saturday, March 31, 2018 at Newcomer Funeral Home, 131 N. Canton Rd., Akron. Funeral service to follow at 6pm. Minister Marcus Coleman officiating. Cremation will take place at a later date. The family would like to thank Dr. Chandler, Dr. Luke and the staff on T2 at Summa Hospital, with special thanks to Nikki and Laura for the excellent care and support.
