Aldo "Al" Stalnaker
Aldo "Al" Stalnaker, 81, passed away October 8, 2005. He was a life long resident of Akron. He was avid hunter and card player and also enjoyed riding and racing motorcycles. Al also had an airplane pilot's license and for many years played Santa Claus for GBU and Sam Salem. Al is survived by his mother, Muriel Smith; his loving wife of 52 years Joan; daughters Arlene Stalnaker (Mark) and Alison Wilson (Ken); son Wayne Stalnaker (Jane);4 grandchildren and 8 great grandchildren; his sister Margie Smith and brother Sonny Smith. Calling hours will be held on Tuesday October 11 from 5-9 PM at NEWCOMER FUNERAL HOME, 131 N Canton Rd. Funeral services will be held on Wednesday October 12 at 11 AM. Interment to follow at Standing Rock Cemetery in Kent, OH. In lieu of flowers memorial contributions can be made to the Visiting Nurse Service,3358 Ridgewood Rd, Akron,OH 44333.
