Alexandria Christine Zanin
Alexandria Christine Zanin, 23, went home to be with her Lord and Savior, Jesus Christ, on October 1, 2010, after a courageous battle with Cystic Fibrosis. Alli was a member of Journey Covenant Church and attended Lake Center Christian School. She was kind hearted, loved her family, and was a devoted big sister and cousin to many. Alli enjoyed reading, movies, and especially family time. Preceded in death by her grandmother, Prudence "Nana" Zanin and grandfather, Joe "Poppy" Opphile. Survivors include her father, Christopher (Pat) Zanin and mother, Cindy Zanin; beloved aunt and uncle, Christine and Michael Richardson; siblings, Michaela, Matthew, Gabriella, and Skylar; grandparents, Armando Zanin and Margaret Opphile; and many beloved aunts, uncles, cousins, and close friends. Calling hours will be Tuesday, 3-5 p.m. and 6-9 p.m. at NEWCOMER FUNERAL HOME, 131 N. Canton Rd., Akron, where a funeral service will be held Wednesday at 11 a.m. , with Pastor Phil Engle officiating.
