Al Honn of Randolph, Ohio passed away May 22, 2024. After 80 years of life, 57 years of which he shared with his loving wife Cheryle, he closed his eyes in sleep and awoke in the presence of his Lord and Savior, Jesus Christ.
Al was met in heaven by several loved ones that had gone on before-his father and mother, Ira and Etta Mae Honn, his in-laws William and Mildred Keyser, six sisters and one brother. He awaits in heaven for the family that is left behind - wife Cheryle, children: Jeff(Tricia) Honn, Steve Honn and Pamela Honn-DeLuca, grandchildren: Meagan(Ean) Shankel, Chris McFarland and Nathan Honn.
Al was a graduate and senior class president of 1962 at Randolph High School. Al served his life in a variety of roles- he was a Hot Stove baseball coach, band chaperone, a veteran of the U.S. Army, member of The American Legion, owner of Honn Electric & Plumbing and later worked for Kent State University as a campus electrician through his retirement. He also served as an adult bible Sunday school teacher and deacon at The Randolph Christian Church. Later, during his retirement, he volunteered at Robinson Memorial Hospital and The Chapel in Akron.
Family & friends will be received on Friday, June 14th, 2024 at a memorial service and celebration of Al’s life from 2-5 pm at The Chapel in Akron (Memorial Chapel building) 135 Fir Hill Akron, where services will be officiated by Thomas Kot- ABF leader at The Chapel.
