Alfred R. Sloan, Jr.
Alfred R. Sloan, Jr., 63, of Akron, passed away May 9, 2008 at Akron City Hospital due to complications from pneumonia and kidney failure. He was born August 30, 1944 in Akron, Ohio to the late Alfred R., Sr. & Hazel Bell Sloan (Moutz). Alfred retired from Wonder Bread after 36 years of service. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by a step brother, John Moutz on May 5, 2008. He is survived by his daughters, Angie and Kelly; siblings, Mary Sorenson, Alfreda Harrison, Hazel (Dick) Gump, Edna Mae Collier, Darlene (Bob) Hughes, JoAnn (Bud) Taggart, Henry (Alta) Jenkins and John (Shirley) Jenkins; many nieces and nephews; special friend Rich and all the gang at Bob Evans. At his request, there will be no calling hours. Cremation has already taken place.
