Alice K. Breen
Alice K. Breen, 70, of Akron, passed away November 6, 2005. Alice was a lifelong resident of Akron. She loved to paint and had many beautiful pieces of artwork that she was proud of. She also enjoyed planting flowers and caring for her garden and was known as being a great cook especially during the holidays when she spent many long hours in the kitchen. Alice was a member of St. Vincent Church. Alice is preceded in death by her parents John and Alice Poth, and her brothers Steve and John Poth, Jr. She was the beloved wife of Kenneth for 33 yrs. and the beloved mother of Kenneth, Jr. (Erica). She was also a loving aunt to Kathy Smallwood, Gary Poth (Rajini), Kelly Pugh (Tim Watson), Luke Poth (Kara), and Stephanie Hang (John). Alice was a great aunt of 8. Family will receive friends at Newcomer Funeral Home, 131 N Canton Rd., Akron on Wednesday from 5-8 PM. A Mass of Christian Burial will be held on Thursday at St Vincent Church, 164 W Market St, at 11 AM. Interment at Holy Cross Cemetery. Online condolences can be made at www.newcomerfamily.com
