Alice Jane Christner

Alice Jane Christner, 84, of Akron, passed away peacefully surrounded by family on Wednesday, July 3, 2024. She was born in Meyersdale, PA on August 22, 1939 to the late Walter and Catherine {Hotchkiss} Hersh.
In addition to her parents, Alice Jane was preceded in death by her beloved husband, Jack Christner in 2022; son, Dale Allen Christner; and six brothers and sisters.
Alice Jane will be dearly missed by her son, Jim (Teresa Henthorn) Christner; grandchildren, Dan (Mary) Albright, Dawn Thompson, Janeann Christner, Jed Christner; many great-grandchildren, along with many nieces and nephews.
Alice Jane was a lifetime member of the Ladies Auxiliary of VFW Post 8826 in Salsbury, PA. She was a wonderful homemaker and loved to decorate her home.
Per Alice Jane's wishes, cremation has taken place, and she and Jack will be laid to rest at a later date with their son at St. Paul Cemetery in Meyersdale, PA.
