Alice G. Averitt, 45, of Akron, passed away on February 28, 2016. Alice displayed courage and strength throughout her battle with cancer and is now at peace. She was born in Bellefonte, PA on August 12, 1970. Alice was an amazing mother who loved to plant flowers, was a great cook, and loved being surrounded by family and friends.
She is survived by her husband, Scott Averitt; son, Anthony Averitt; daughter, Alexandra Averitt; parents, Bob and Cindy Chase; brother, Mickey (Melissa) Chase; sisters, Petra (Brian) Knapp, Katie (Chris) Leboeuf; grandson Brayden; mother-in-law Margaret Averitt; sister-in-law Renee Averitt; and best friend Lynn Harris.
Family will be welcoming guests from 1:30-3:00 pm on Saturday, March 5, 2016 at Newcomer Funeral Home, 131 N. Canton Rd., Akron. A memorial service will follow at 3 pm.
