Alice Mansell

April 17, 1923 — June 11, 2024

Alice Mansell, 101, finally made it to where she was going all these years on June 11, 2024. Born in Akron, Ohio to Alton and Vada (Widmeyer) Kauffman, she was a lifelong area resident. Alice retired from Mason Elementary, where she worked as a librarian. Alice was a member of Summit Wesleyan Church, where she served as board secretary, youth leader, missionary president and other offices. She enjoyed shopping, volunteering at the Haven of Rest and spending time with her family.

In addition to her parents, Alice was preceded in death by her husband, Bill Mansell; sons, Gary, Doug; son-in-law, Rick Blanton; brother, David Kauffman. She will be sadly missed by her children, Jeff (Cheryl), Carrin Blanton; daughters-in-law, Robin, Sharon; many grandchildren, great grandchildren, great great grandchildren and friends.

The family would like to thank the staff at St. Luke Lutheran Home of North Canton for their loving care of Alice.

Family and friends are invited to visit Wednesday, June 19, 2024 from 12 noon to 1 p.m. at Summit Wesleyan Church, 2303 S. Main St., Akron. The funeral service will follow at 1 p.m. at the church. Interment will take place at Greenlawn Memorial Park.
