Alice V. McQuaid (nee Sims)
Alice V. McQuaid, 84, passed away March 24, 2012 after a short illness.
She was born in Zanesville on May 16, 1927, and moved to Akron during her childhood.
Alice was preceded in death by her loving husband, Don McQuaid; parents, Otis and Ruth Sims; brother, Bobby Sims; and sons, Terry Sims, and Danny Good. She is survived by her sons, Johnny Good, and David (Ernestine) Good; daughter, Maria Jones; grandchildren, Erik Jones, Joshua Jones, Beth Good, Mike Good, Kevin (Shawna) Good, and Kelly (Joe) Diamond; daughter-in-law, Peggy Good; 3 great-grandchildren; and Molly & Honey, her loving canine companions.
Calling hours will be held Wednesday, March 28, from 6 to 8 pm at Newcomer Funeral Home, 131 N. Canton Rd., Akron, where a service will be held Thursday, March 29, at 10 am with Mr. David Myers officiating. Interment at Hillside Memorial Park.
