Allegro Leslie Fears
March 5, 1949 - May 9, 2022
Allegro Leslie Fears passed away May 9, 2022 at 4:30 pm with his family by his side. Allegro, also known as "Legs," was born and raised in Akron, Ohio. Allegro was a hard worker and began working at the young age of 14. He started at the Brown Derby and then worked at the well-known Double Tyme Bar and Grill, moving on to Crawdad's, where he later retired. He created his very own secret Gyro sauce and became known as the Legendary Gyro King of Akron Ohio. He could put on a show, flipping the pita with one hand behind his back and the other taking your order, all while flashing his handsome smile.
If he wasn't in the kitchen, you could find him on the stage playing the keys, strumming a guitar and filling in song lyrics while singing the blues. He enjoyed riding his bike and was dedicated to playing the lottery everyday, win or lose. Allegro worked up to the age of 71 and story goes if that car didn't jump out in front of him, he would still be in the kitchen today.
He is preceded in death by his father and mother, James and Vivian Fears, and younger sister, Cathy Fears. He is survived by his wife, Debbie Adams; brothers, Jimmy Peebles and William "Billy" Fears; sisters, Ruby {Fears} Green and Lisa Morgan; children, Monica Broadwater, Allegro "Joe" Clouser (Ashley), Mickey Clouser (Shelly), Brandon Petrovich and Mike (Katie) Adams; grandchildren, David "DJ", Justin, Sammie, Noah, Mia, Taya, Vanessa, Abriella, Kevin, Nella and Brandon; nieces, Carmen and Carmella; several great-grandchildren, cousins, and an endless number of friends.
Allegro loved people and all people loved Allegro.
The family is planning a celebration of life. Please check back for updates.
