Alma J. Joseph
Alma J. Joseph, 83, of Akron, passed away November 5, 2007. Alma was born March 16, 1924 in Daybrook, West Virginia. In 1960, Alma moved with her family to Akron. In her younger years, she enjoyed squaredancing. In later years, she took great pride in her garden and enjoyed vacationing in the Carolinas. Alma was preceded in death by her parents, two brothers, and one sister. She will be deeply missed by her husband of 64 years, Abe; daughter, Carolyn McCardle (Ramon Luna); son, James (Rita) Joseph; sister, Alice Wise; brother, Raymer Tennant; grandchildren, Tracy Snowberger, Bill (Melissa) Lowers, Tony (Julie) Barbuto, and Michael (Theresa) Barbuto: and seven great-grandchildren. Family and friends may call on Wednesday from 5-8 p.m. at NEWCOMER FUNERAL HOME, 131 N. Canton Rd. Funeral services will take place in Blacksville, West Virginia and burial will be at Olive Methodist Church in West Virginia.
