Alma Knight

Alma Lorraine Knight, 75, of Akron, passed away April 17, 2002 at her residence after a lengthy illness. She was born August 29, 1926 in Daytona Beach, Florida to the late William Avery & Alma Lee (Haughton) O'Neil. Alma retired as a store manager for 27 years with the Southland Corporation in Daytona Beach and moved to Akron 11 years ago to be with her family. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by two daughters, Sheryl Lee Mick and Karen L. Bevington and a brother, William O'Neil. She is survived by her daughter and son-in-law Rosilyn & David Warren; grandchildren, Jamie L. (Charlie) Patterson, Bridgette (Dru) Wright, Troy Mick and Jerry (Shelley) Bevington; 5 great-grandchildren. Funeral services will be held 11:00 a.m. Monday, April 22 at NEWCOMER-FARLEY FUNERAL HOME, 131 N. Canton Rd., with Bishop James Juhasz speaking. Family and friends will be received from 10:00 a.m. until the service begins. Interment at Lakewood Cemetery.
