Almedia Rose Keefer

Almedia R. Keefer - Byler, 78, passed from this life on December 9, 2015. She was born on April 15, 1937. She was a member of Kappa Kappa Iota. Almedia retired from the University of Akron Biology Department after working 30 years in the school system. She attended Marlboro Chapel. She also enjoyed traveling and spending time with her family and grandchildren.

She was preceded in death by her first husband Robert E. Keefer of 30 years and her son, Stephen E. Keefer.

Almedia is survived by her devoted husband of 9 years Alvin W. Byler; son, Ira (Cynthia) Keefer ; daughter-in- law, Wanda Y. Keefer and son Robert D. (Tamara) Keefer; grandchildren, Christy, Lynn,Trisha, Erin; great grandchildren Jacob, Ian, Tristin, Kasey and loving cousin Linda Stower.

Visitation will be from 2:00 p.m. to 6:00 p.m. Sunday, December 13, 2015 at Newcomer Funeral Home 131 N. Canton Road, Akron. Funeral Ceremony will be held Monday, December 14, 2015 at 11:00 a.m. at Newcomer Funeral Home. Interment will be at Hillside Memorial Park.
