Alonzo Guice Jr., of Akron, Ohio, died on March 5, 2023, at the age of 76. Alonzo was born March 12, 1947, in Union Springs, Alabama, the son of the late Queen and Alonzo Guice Sr.
He went to Akron Public Schools. Hard work was instilled in Alonzo at an early age by his parents and as a result of that he worked a variety of jobs throughout his life. He loved the outdoors and especially enjoyed doing lawncare. He loved his coffee and doughnuts and could not pass up a good meal.
He was preceded in death by his parents, Queen and Alonzo Guice Sr; his sister, Lela Eaton; brothers-in-law, Claude Kiser and John Eaton.
He is survived by his only son, Antonio Guice; two grandchildren, Jayveontae L. Guice and Antoinaisha L. Guice; his three sisters, Minnie Watkins, Darlene Kiser and Elvina Guice; and his only brother, Retired Sheriff's Deputy- Charles (Sharon) Guice; along with nieces, nephews and a host of family and friends.
The family would like to thank the staff of Akron General-Cleveland Clinic and Hospice Care for the care given to Alonzo.

The Lord is my shepherd; I shall not want. He maketh me to lie down in green pastures: He leadeth me beside the still waters. He restoreth my soul: he leadeth me in the paths of righteousness for his name's sake.
