Alta Ruth (Cole) Hodgen

Alta Ruth (Cole) Hodgen, went home to be with her Lord on October 25, 2007. Ruth was born in Akron, Ohio on June 2, 1929 and lived her entire life in Akron. She was a member of the Apostolic Pentecostal Church/Christ Community Church where she held many positions. She was a strong woman of faith and her greatest attribute was being a prayer warrior, she always had a good word for you and a smile. Ruth was a devoted wife, mother and grandmother. She had also been employed by Goodyear and the Halberts Co. Alta is preceded in death by her husband, Argyle L. Hodgen and son, David D. Hodgen. Ruth will be greatly missed by her surviving son and daughter-in-law, Kenneth R. & Alice Hodgen; grandchildren, Nathan (Rachael) Hodgen and Amy (Paul) Greenbaum, and soon to arrive great- grandchild; also survived by Frank & Mary Hodgen; and Dottie Cole; many nieces, nephews and friends. Funeral services will be conducted Tuesday at 11:00 AM at Christ Community Church, 2445 South Arlington., Akron, Ohio 44319 with Pastor Dennis Conden and Rev. Jeff Patton officiating.
