Alvin S. Connor

Alvin S. Connor, 88, passed away July 1, 2023 at home surrounded by his family. Born in Akron, Ohio to Leveser and Catherine (Scruggs) Connor, he was a lifelong area resident. For many years he worked at Firestone Tire & Rubber Co. Al enjoyed watching Ohio State football, especially when they beat that team up north. He also liked deep frying chicken , growing tea roses, fishing, participating in church activities and spending time with his family. Al was a devoted member of the Kingdom Hall of Jehovah's Witnesses, Portage Path Congregation.

In addition to his parents, he was preceded by siblings, Susan Weathers, Catherine Henderson, Leveser Connor, Arthur Connor. Al will be sadly missed by his wife of 51 years, Betty; son, Derrick Connor; several nieces, nephews and friends.
