Alvin Dale Spears Jr., "Al", age 58 of Norton, Ohio, died on March 7, 2023 in Barberton.
He was born on December 29, 1964 in Cuyahoga Falls, the son of Jacqueline (nee Ray) Fornadel of Tallmadge, Ohio, and the late Alvin Dale Spears Sr.
Al was an over the road truck driver. He enjoyed traveling, fishing and riding his motorcycle. His greatest joy was his family, especially his grandchildren.
In addition to his mother, survivors include his fiance, Lydia Goodman, with whom he lived and loved; his step-father, Jeffrey Fornadel; his only son and best friend, Jonathon Spears; Lydia's children, Zach, Chase (Kelly) and Luke (Quinn) Goodman; his grandchildren, Adylyne "Ady" Mahaffey, Annabelle "Belle" Spears, Alec "Ham" Spears; Lydia's grandchildren, Ariana "Stink Bug", Audrey "Podgy", Riley "Scoot", Aleiah "Leels" and Myles "Chunkin" Goodman; and his four-legged fury friend, Loki.
His siblings also survive, Michael, Todd, Jason (Reba) and Melanie Spears; and many nieces, nephews, cousins and friends that mourn his loss.
Memorial calling hours will be held from 3:00 - 6:00 PM on Sunday, March 12, 2023 at Newcomer Funeral Home, 131 North Canton Road, Akron, Ohio 44305, where there will be and "open mike" format. Should anyone want to speak you may do so during the visitation.
