Amanda C. Trice

Amanda C. Trice, 99, of Akron, passed away September 24, 2017. Amanda was born in Huron, Tennessee on October 22, 1917 to the late William and Mattie Edwards. She worked in health care until her retirement and actively attended Brown Street Church of Christ until her health no longer allowed the opportunity; she was a giving person with a heart of gold, always helping others and taking in those who needed help. She also loved going for walks, gardening, reading and hosting Bible studies. Most of all, she loved her family and spending time surrounded by them.

In addition to her parents, Amanda was preceded in death by her brother, sisters and son, Donald W. Trice.

She will be dearly missed by her granddaughters, Donna (Christopher) Foster, and Karla (Jessie) DeJesus; grandson, KaDonte Trice; 11 great-grandchildren, 2 great-great grandchildren, and a host of nieces and nephews.

Family and friends may call on Friday, September 29, 2017 from 6-8 pm at Newcomer Funeral Home, 131 N. Canton Rd., Akron, where funeral services will be held Saturday at 10:30 am. She will be laid to rest at Rose Hill Burial Park.
