Amelia Klebick

June 29, 1922 — December 17, 2011

Amelia "Millie" Klebick went home to be with the Lord on December 17, 2011, at the age of 89. Born June 29, 1922 to Anthony and Mary Pniaczek, Millie lived her entire life in Akron. In 1945, she married Andy Klebick while he was serving our country overseas during World War II. Millie proudly served on the homefront during this critical time as a "Rosie the Riveter" at Goodyear Aircraft. After the war and Andy's safe return, she devoted herself to her family and her church. Millie was a woman of strong faith. She became a member of the Ellet Community Church of God in 1968 and served the Lord in many ways at her church through the years. She was a long-time member of the Women of the Church of God Missionary Society and served as treasurer for many years. She was also active in planning church craft bazaars, participating in candy-making days & pot luck suppers, planning funeral dinners, and assisting in the childcare program as she served God and others through her church. Millie was a devoted mother to her daughter, Vicky, and served as school room mother & in other volunteer positions. She always offered parental support & guidance while still being Vicky's special confidant and friend. Even though Millie had only one child, she constantly welcomed neighborhood children into her home to visit and play. She was also a wonderful caregiver to her niece and nephew, Dorothy and John. Millie was also a loving daughter to her mother, Mary. She watched over her mother throughout her life and tenderly cared for her during her last days. Millie was preceded in death by her parents, Tony & Mary Pniaczek; husband, Andy Klebick; sisters, Ruth Thomas & Mary Pniaczek; and brothers, Carl & Tony Pniaczek. She is survived by her beloved family: daughter and son-in-law, Vicky & Dan Samels; grandchildren, Matthew & Sarah Samels; brothers & sisters-in-law, Donald & Mary Jane Pniaczek and John "Bill" & Debbie Pniaczek; and nieces & nephews: Dan & Erin Thomas, Dorothy & Madison Justice, Eric, Mark & John Pniaczek, Gina & Andy Little & their 6 children, and Debbie, Austin & Heavenne Parks. She is also survived by many special friends, including long-time best friend, Ruby Schreckengost. Calling hours will be Tuesday, 4-8 p.m., at NEWCOMER FUNERAL HOME, 131 N. Canton Rd., Akron, where a funeral service will be held Wednesday at 11 a.m. Interment to follow at Mt. Peace Cemetery. In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be made to the Ellet Community Church of God, 2700 Priscilla Ave., Akron, Oh 44312 or the "Plus or Minus Sixty" TV and radio ministry in care of Denny and Marge Hazen Ministries, PO Box 230, Louisville, OH 44640.
