Amy Michele Rowan

Amy Michele Rowan, 41, of Akron, passed away September 8, 2018. Amy was born in Akron, Ohio on October 22, 1976 to Patrick and Etta Rowan and was a graduate of North High School. She was a member of the American Legion Auxiliary #464 for 29 years. Amy was also past 14th District Junior President, a member of Portage Salon 860 of the 8/40 for 20 years and served as Chapeau for 3 years. Amy was also an avid bowler.

Amy was preceded in death by her father, Patrick Rowan, and grandparents, Ed and Hilda Wright and Albert and Shirley Rowan.

She will be dearly missed by her mother, Etta Rowan; son, Sean Rowan; many aunts, uncles, cousins and friends.

Visitation will be held on Friday, September 14, 2018 from 4-8 pm at Newcomer Cremations, Funerals & Receptions, 131 N. Canton Road, Akron, with presentations by the Auxiliary and the 8/40 beginning at 7:30 pm. Funeral service will be held at the funeral home on Saturday, September 15, 2018 at 10 am with Fr. Mike Williamson officiating. She will be laid to rest at Hillside Memorial Park.
