Andrea M. Hamer
Andrea M. Hamer, 30, of Uniontown, went home to be with the Lord on January 7, 2008 after a courageous 1 month battle with ovarian cancer with her family at her side. Andrea was born July 22, 1977 in Minot, North Dakota. She graduated from Lake High School in 1995, Ohio Northern University in 1999 and in 2007 received her Master's Degree in Speech Pathology. Andrea was a beautiful person on the inside as well as the outside with an infectious smile and beautiful dimples. She will be deeply missed by her parents, Donna J. (Davis) & John K. Sparling; maternal grandparents, Donald & Janet Davis; paternal grandparents, Kenneth & Rachael Hamer and Kenneth & Jean Sparling; aunts and uncles, Debbie (Dave) Velickoff, Sandy Davis and Linda Sparling; cousins, Christine (Mike), Ed (Courtney), David and Matt; her dog and constant companion, Hunter. The family will receive friends on Thursday from 5 - 9 p.m. and Friday from 10 - 11 a.m. at Newcomer Funeral Home, 131 N. Canton Rd., Akron where funeral services will be conducted Friday at 11:00 a.m. Interment will follow at Hillside Memorial Park. The family would like to extend their special thanks to all who have given their prayers, love and support.
