Andrea Sue "Susy" Nolan, was born in Salem, Ohio on August 4, 1950. Her parents are the late Mary Evelyn {Scroggs} Windram and Leslie David Horner and step-father Harold Windram.
She is survived by Gregory E. Nolan, her husband of nearly 44 years. Sisters Mary Dee Raabe (Don), Deena East (Jack Walp), Robyn Shepherd (Woody). Sisters-in-law Judy Akins and Carol Nolan. Son and Daughter in-law Matthew and Nicole Nolan. Grandchildren Danielle Wojciechowski (Sean) and Zachary Nolan. Great grandchildren Alexis, Landen, Luca and Asher. As well as many Nieces and Nephews
Susy attended Kent State University. She retired from Harwick Standard with nearly thirty years of service. She was an active member of the Daughters of the American Revolution. A dedicated volunteer at the Akron Zoo since 2013. She attended Cornerstone Church in Akron where she greeted congregants for many years
Susy had an unwavering love for her friends and family. A generous heart that somehow never stopped growing, continually pouring out more and more to those around her. If you knew Susy, you knew she loved you. She loved animals and the feeling of fresh cut grass under her bare feet. One of the greatest joys after retirement were all the miles that she and Greg racked up as they drove around Akron on their Vespa scooters - experiencing nature, the road and each other. Simply put, Susy never wanted the spotlight, but wanted the people around her to know that they were loved - she did that so very well.
She leaves behind an unfillable void, but the mark of her love in all our lives will never fade or blemish. Susy, we love and miss you, but we'll see you soon!
