Andrew Millard Emerick

Born in Akron, Ohio to Anne Jones (nee Buzek) and Joseph Emerick. Andy served in S. Korea with the US Army in 1966. After his service, he worked on the railroad in California before returning to Ohio to work in construction as a plumber. Andy was active in the American Legion with 36 continuous years of membership. Andy served one year as post commander, membership chair for two years and canteen manager for several years. He proudly placed flags at gravesides for many years until his health declined.

Preceded in death by his parents and his fiance, Linda Smith; brothers, Gary, Larry and Curtis; nephews, Michael and Danny.

He is survived by sister-in-law, Ilse Emerick; niece, Janet (Jim) Rohner; nephews, Dennis (Margie) and Kevin (Cheryl) Emerick; great-nephews, Nicholas (Johanna) Rohner, Anthony Rohner and Mitchel Emerick; great-niece, Katelyn Emerick; and special friends, Emily Hunsicker and Anthony Huffman.

Per Andy's wishes, there will be no calling hours. Interment will take place at Ohio Western Reserve National Cemetery on Friday, September 15, 2023 at 10:15am. Rev. Fr. Wayne P. Wright will officiate.
