Andrew Leon Patterson

May 25, 1938 — March 14, 2025

Stow

Andy fell asleep in death March 14, 2025 surrounded by family and friends. He was born in Philadelphia Pa. in 1938 to Andrew and Geraldine Patterson. In 1952, the family moved from South Philadelphia to Germantown Pa. At Germantown High School, Andy excelled in track and football. He loved his cheesesteaks and scrapple and spending time with his family. He enlisted in the Army and after his discharge moved to Akron Ohio. He worked at Goodyear Tire in the Engineering department for 39 years.

In 1963, Andy dedicated his life to God and was baptized as one of Jehovah’s Witnesses. The joy in his life was sharing in the door to door ministry, talking about the Bible. His faith is what helped him to endure despite his physical trials. He knew the promises from the Bible and looked forward to its many blessings, especially Revelation 21 :3,4. His service to Jehovah also included having a part in the construction of Kingdom Halls and taking part on the programs held at spiritual Assemblies and Conventions.

Andy is preceded in death by his parents and sister Marlene. He is survived by his devoted wife, Susan, and step-children, Sanders, Nolan and Natalie. Surviving also is his sister Alberta along with a host of nieces, nephews, cousins, grandchildren, great-grandchildren and friends.

The family would like to express their appreciation for all the prayers, phone calls, text messages and cards. We look forward to seeing our dear Andy again in Jehovah’s new world.

Family and friends are invited to calling hours Saturday, April 5, 2025 from 2 to 4 p.m. at The Kingdom Hall of Jehovah’s Witnesses, 4092 Darrow Road, Stow, Ohio 44224. The Memorial Talk will follow at 4 p.m. and it is available via zoom.
