Andrew John "Andy" Roach, 40, passed away in May 2024, in Akron, OH. He was born to Joyce Elaine Svet and Joseph Andrew Roach in Lewiston, NY.
Following high school in 2001, Andy joined the United States Marine Corps taking great pride in their motto "Semper Fidelis." Sergeant Roach was honorably discharged from active duty in 2006 after returning from Iraq and serving as a Flightline Mechanic.
He enjoyed cooking, gardening, the frequent 'dad joke,' and was always willing to help a friend. His children gave him strength during the rough times and laughter and joy all of the time.
He is survived by his three children, Joshua, Austin, and Mackenzie.
In lieu of flowers, donations for his children can be made to immediate family.
A graveside committal service with military honors will take place on Monday, June 24, 2024 at Ohio Western Reserve National Cemetery (10175 Rawiga Road, Seville, OH 44273) at 9:45am.
Immediately following the committal, family and friends may gather at Silver Creek Metro Park - Sherman Shelter (5000 Hametown Rd., Norton, OH 44203).
