Angela Marie Davis, age 42 of Tallmadge, Ohio, died on July 29, 2018, surrounded by family at Memorial Sloan Kettering Cancer Center in New York City.
She was born on July 30, 1975 in Kent, Ohio, the daughter of Victor and Barbara (nee Wallace) Vatalaro of Kent. In addition to her parents, Angela is survived by her husband, Eric Richard Davis, whom she married on July 23, 1999; her children, Selena, Jacob, and Carson Davis; her two brothers, Victor (Jonelle) Vatalaro and Thomas (Vanessa) Vatalaro; her grandmother, Helen (nee Bitonte) Wallace; her father-in-law, Dennis (Barbara) Davis; her sister-in-law, Krisanna Davis; and numerous nieces, nephews, cousins, aunts and uncles who mourn her loss.
Angela was a 1993 graduate of Hoban High School in Akron. She then went on to obtain a Bachelor Degree from Akron University in early childhood development.
Angela filled many roles in life and will be dearly missed by all. She was a friend, a daughter, a sister, a teacher, and an advocate for anyone in need. Her deepest passion, however, continued to be her unwavering commitment as a wife and loving mother to her three beautiful children. She will be remembered for her compassion and grace and for inspiring others with her brilliant smile any time a child was near. Even through her illness, her resolve for life persisted. She never faltered and continued to work tirelessly toward her dream of one day establishing a preschool at St. Patrick's School. We are saddened by Angela's passing but are blessed to have known such an exquisite soul. She will live on in the hearts of her friends and family and her memory will continue to guide our lives forever.
Angela was preceded in death by her grandparents, Victor and Angeline (nee Aidala) Vatalaro, Vester Wallace; her mother-in-law, Deborah (nee Boden) Davis.
A Funeral Mass will be held on Saturday, August 4, 2018 at 10:00 AM at St. Patrick Catholic Church, 313 North Depeyster Street, Kent, Ohio, where Father Richard Pentello will celebrate Angela's life.
Family and friends may gather at Newcomer Funeral Home, 131 North Canton Road, Akron, on Friday, August 3, 2018 from 4:00 - 8:00 PM.
Morning prayers will take place at Newcomer Funeral Home on Saturday morning at 9:00 AM before processing to the church for Mass.
