Angela Lee {Moss} Humphries, 73, of Akron, passed away peacefully, surrounded by her family on August 4, 2023. A lifelong resident of the Akron area, she was born on January 13, 1950 to the late Arthur and Elnora {Williams} Moss.
In addition to her parents, Angel was preceded in death by her brothers Michael and Mitchell Moss.
Angela is survived by her loving children Nichole (Tracy Hopson) Humphries, LaVita (Michael) Miller, Tiffany Humphries, D'Mario Humphries, KaTasha Humphries and Tonya (James) Clark; grandchildren Chelaree, Michael, Diontre, Shahaley, Chelissia, Butifel, Byuti, Hansum, J'Naesha, Ahsean'J, Gabrielle, Amyah, Connor, Laurensjai, Shaila, Ambernese, Rayne and Ranyia; great-grandchildren Dareequee, Da'Ricco, Jewelz, Juelaree, Michael Jr. I, Michael Jr. II, Mylan, Milaun, Amyla, Joir, Diontre Jr. Hayden, Deshawn, Jaymi and Jailynn; sisters Mickey, Marilyn and Mary; a host of extended family members and friends.
Angela worked in nursing for Summa Hospitals for 15 years, while raising her family.
Mommy, we want you to know that you were a beautiful, tough, resilient woman who taught us how to stand up for ourselves, face the world, and you SHOWED US how be strong. You had such great strength, will and determination. God's grace gave you the strength to persevere. We saw it with our own eyes. You demonstrated how to survive through the most difficult circumstances, how to swing back at challenges, and fight with all that we had been given within. Through those skills, we learned that what tries to kill you can be used as a source to make us stronger. Yes, we have more power within than we believe. We will forever be blessed with knowing we have pieces and parts of you running through our hearts and minds. We thank you for all that you've done, our births, your love, your toughness, the things you knew and didn't—-all—ALL of your efforts. Your children thank you for the overall experience including the lessons we learned from your mistakes. We apologize to you for our wrongdoing and we accept your apology as well.
Now that you are on the other side, we are comforted by knowing that you are no longer suffering nor in pain; yet, instead—-forever resting in peace. We love you and we'll see you on the other side. Bye mommy, for now.
