Anita S. Starcher

Anita S. Starcher, 64, passed away on June 30, 2013.

She was a 40-year member of the Brimfield Garden Club and served as a den mother in the Cub Scouts for many years. She was known for her award-winning jams and jellies, having been awarded a blue ribbon at the Randolph fair. Anita was an avid gardener and reader. She was a devoted employee, retiring after 20 years of service at McDonalds in Brimfield.

Preceded in death by father, Forrest Hart; and brother, Danny Hart.

Survivors include her beloved husband, Whitey, of 40 years; her mother, Betty Hart; daughter, Tamela (Dennis) Shawhan; son, Nicholas (Sara) Starcher; sister, Diane Cole; brother, Steve Hart; 1 grandson, Andrew (Marissa) Snyder; 1 great-grandson, Aiden Snyder; many beloved nieces and nephews; and dear friends, Dave and Karen Mullenix.

Calling hours will be Wednesday, 4-7 p.m., at NEWCOMER FUNERAL HOME, 131 N. Canton Rd., Akron, where a funeral service will be held FRIDAY at 10 a.m. Interment at Restland Cemetery.
