Anita Stopera Texter, 63, passed away peacefully March 30, 2023 after a short illness. Born in Akron, Ohio January 6, 1960, she was a lifelong area resident. Anita cooked thousands of meals working at a nursing facility and multiple restaurants, the last one being Lindsey's Amber Restaurant. She enjoyed attending concerts with a fondness for Bruce Springsteen, watching the professional golfers at the Firestone Country Club as well as following the Cavs Browns and the Tribe. Anita was a star gazer on clear nights and now is a twinkling star for others to gaze upon.
Preceded in death by her parents, Leo and Doris Stopera, and brother. Bill Stopera, she will be sadly missed by her spouse of 37 years, Tom Texter; children, Vanessa (Curt) Stickel, Owen (Jen) Clark; grandchildren, Colton, Megan; sister, Brenda Stopera; nephew, Cody Dye, who she'll always be known to as Aunt Goofy; stepson, Steven; sister-in-law, Bev Stopera; nieces, Michele, Lisa, Courtney, Miranda, Sydney, Payton; sister-in-law, Shirley Spauling; fur babies, Peanuts, Cookie, Socks, Cupcake.
Per her wishes, cremation has taken place. The family will have a private celebration of Anita's life at a later date.
