Ann Maynard

Ann Maynard, 85, of Akron, passed away February 9, 2005 at Akron City Hospital. She was born March 5, 1919 in St. Claire, Pennsylvania to the late Frank & Helen (Puzjak) Gondorchin. Ann moved to Akron before the war to work at Goodyear Tire and Rubber Company. She was an extensive traveler throughout the world. She was a member of Goodyear Heights Presbyterian Church, involved in Goodyear Retirees and the Goodyear Heights Reservoir Seniors. In addition to her parents, she is preceded in death by a brother, George Gondorchin. She is survived by her husband of 59 years, Truman C. Maynard; daughter, Patricia Russell of Akron; sons, Robert (Tricia) Maynard of Hudson and Ted A. Maynard of Akron; grandchildren, Tammy (Rick) Dillon; Richard (Tara) Russell, Shannon Russell, Anna-Dawn and Cryscilla Maynard; great-grandchildren, Kristy and Matthew Dillon, Richard III and Jordan Russell; sister, Mary (Herman) Kobluskie of Seymour, CT; brothers, Frank Gondorchin of Hopatcong, NJ and John (Barbara) Gondorchin of Tallmadge. Calling hours will be Sunday from 2 - 5 p.m. at Newcomer Funeral Home, 131 N. Canton Rd. where funeral services will be held Monday at 11:00 a.m. with Rev. John Gruneich officiating. Interment will follow at Rose Hill Burial Park.
