Ann McCauliff
Ann McCauliff (nee Bocek), 91, has joined her husband Francis for eternal life on April 18, 2010. Ann was born in McKees Rocks, PA. She later moved to Steubenville, OH where she met and married her husband Francis. They both enjoyed many years in Martins Ferry, OH, then relocated to Akron. Ann retired from the JC Penny Co., and later was employed by West Point Market. She was member of the Guild at St. Matthew's, ABWA, and volunteered at Edwin Shaw and Akron City Hospital. Ann was an inspiration to family, friends, and co-workers. She loved gardening, crafts, and gatherings for family and friends. Preceded in death by, Donald McCauliff; June (Lou) Flores; Anne McCauliff; Robert Osborne; and 7 brothers and sisters. Ann is survived by her children, Janet (Jim) Sargent, Nancy (Gary) Anderson, Theresa McCauliff, Dolores (Victor) Lynskey, James McCauliff, and Carolyn Osborne; many grandchildren, great-grandchildren, and great-great-grandchildren; sister, Kathryn Jossund; and many nieces and nephews. Calling hours will be held Saturday, April 24, from 2 to 5 pm at Newcomer Funeral Home, 131 N. Canton Rd., Akron, where a service will follow at 5 pm. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the Hospice of Western Reserve, or to Edwin Shaw Hospital.
