Ann Catherine (Boggs) Mishler was 93 years young when she passed away peacefully on April 30, 2023 in Hudson, Ohio. She was born at 3:00 a.m. on October 14, 1929 in a remote hollow, to the late John Thomas Boggs and Kitty May (Skyles) Boggs in Rutledge-Charleston, West Virginia. She was truly a coal miner's daughter, and she gave diamonds to the world.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Lloyd C. Mishler and brother, James A. Boggs. Ann graduated from Springfield High School in 1947. Ann and Lloyd farmed in Suffield, Ohio and owned the Suffield Driving School for thirty years. Ann also worked at Suffield Elementary School and with the Suffield Township Fire Department on the Rescue Squad. They were both active members of the Suffield Township Farm Bureau.
Ann met and married Lloyd at the Springfield Church of the Brethren. They were married for 56 years before Lloyd's passing.
She will be deeply missed by her three children, Ronald (Carolyn) Mishler of Suffield, Linda (Carl) Jahn of Macedonia and Ruth Ann Dodig of Brunswick.
She also leaves behind grandchildren to cherish her memory, Erin (Eric) Howarth, Steven (Jennifer) Jahn, Bethany Barkley-Hanson (Chris Huck), Michelle (Michael) McClure, Amanda (Kyle) Stoffer and Anna Dodig.
She was very proud of her great grandchildren, Sadie and Courtney Howarth, Emma Jahn, Mason and Maverick McClure, and Shelby, Brooke and Addison Stoffer.
A funeral service and Celebration of Life will be held on Friday, May 5, 2023 at 1:00 p.m. at the Springfield Church of the Brethren, 3500 Albrecht Avenue, Akron, Ohio 44312. Friends and family may visit from noon until 1:00 p.m. before the funeral service. Burial will follow across the street at Maple Hill Cemetery. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the Springfield Church of the Brethren, 3500 Albrecht Avenue, Akron, Ohio 44312.
