Anna H. Woodill

Anna H. Woodill, 91, of Akron, passed away March 10, 2008 at Akron City Hospital. She was born August 25, 1916 in Darraugh, Pennsylvania to the late Stephen & Rosalia (Omasits) Billisits. Anna retired from the Akron Public Schools in 1981. Much of her time was devoted to her family, cooking and cleaning. She will be remembered as an avid card player. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Spencer Woodill, Sr.; son, Richard; brothers, Joseph and Stephen Billisits. She is survived by her daughter, Anne Metz; son and daughter-in-law, Spencer & Darlene Woodill II; grandchildren, Thomas (Kristi) Woodill, Robert (Kim) Metz, Leslie (Victor) Giannini, Richard (Rebecca) Metz and Marianne (James) Armour; 12 great-grandchildren; sister, Josephine Billisits; brother, George (Carol) Billisits. A Funeral Mass will be held at 12:00 p.m. Saturday at St. Martha Church, 300 E. Tallmadge Ave., Akron with Fr. Michael Matusz presiding. Interment will follow at Hillside Memorial Park. The family will receive friends at St. Martha Church on Saturday from 11 a.m. until the Mass begins. The family would like to extend a special thanks to Sunrise Assisted Living of Cuyahoga Falls and Summa Health Systems, especially Akron City Hospital for their care.
