Anne Jones (Emerick) "Mom Anne"
Anne Jones, 93, passed away December 19, 2006. Anne was born in Akron on May 31, 1913 to Andrew and Mary Buzek. She was a lifelong member of St. John's Lutheran Church and being an accomplished baker, donated her numerous pastries to the many church fund raisers. Her love for children was demonstrated throughout her lifetime by the care she gave babysitting to all those who revered and called her "Mom Anne". Preceded in death by her parents; four brothers; two sisters; and son, Gary Emerick, she is survived by sons and daughters-in-law, Larry (Nita) Emerick, Curtis (Ilse) Emerick, and Andy (Linda Smith) Emerick, all of Akron; grandsons, Mike, Danny, Kevin, and Dennis (Marge) Emerick; granddaughter, Janet (Jim) Rohner; great-grandchildren, Justin, Jessica, Nicholas, Anthony, and Mitchell; best friend, Wanita Frascella; as well as many other loving relatives and friends. Calling hours will be TODAY from 7-9 p.m. at NEWCOMER FUNERAL HOME, 131 N. Canton Rd. Funeral services on Friday at 12 p.m. with visitation from 11-12 at St. John's Lutheran Church, 550 E. Wilbeth Rd., Rev. Howard F. Grether II officiating. Interment at Hillside Memorial Park.
