Anne Logan (Romocean) of Alliance, Ohio, passed away on September 25, 2016. She was born in Romania on June 4, 1919 and emigrated to the United States in 1921 with her parents, Frank and Anna Romocean, and her sister, Victoria. Anne was raised in Manchester, Ohio and after her marriage to William J. Doyle moved to Akron. She worked for over 20 years at Akron Standard Mold before retiring. Anne spent many summers after retirement in Val d'Or, Quebec. She won the queen of fishing title many times and loved collecting blueberries when the bears didn't chase her off. Anne loved visiting her children, grandchildren and great-grandchildren and was a longtime member of the Springfield Baptist Church.
Anne was preceded in death by her daughters, Helen A. Collins, of Wadsworth, Ohio, and Myrtle Ann Dobse of Ravenna, Ohio. She is survived by her daughter, Martha E. Bauman (Larry) of Alliance, Ohio; son, David W. Doyle (Margo) of Wylie, Texas; brother, Frank Romocean (Linnea) of Edinburg, Ohio; and son-in-law, Nelson Collins of Rittman, Ohio.
Family will welcome guests for a visitation on Tuesday, September 27, 2016 at Newcomer Funeral Home, 131 N. Canton Rd., Akron from 4-7 pm. Funeral service will be held on Wednesday, September 28, 2016 at Springfield Baptist Church, 1920 Krumroy Rd., Akron at 10 am. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to Save A Mom dog rescue.
