Anne L. Witsaman

Anne L. Witsaman, 99, of Akron, passed away September 25, 2018. Anne was born in Akron, Ohio on November 4, 1918 to the late John and Mary Karkalik. She enjoyed playing gin rummy almost daily and spending time outside with family and friends.

In addition to her parents, Anne was preceded in death by her loving husband of 69 years, Stanford Witsaman; sisters, Mary Chapman, Elizabeth Switzer, Susan Cusamano, Irene Bost and Margaret Kovalchik; and brothers, John and Robert Karkalik.

She is survived by her son, Ronald (Marie) Witsaman of Costa Mesa, CA; daughter, Carole Ouellette of Akron; sister, Ethel Memmer; brother, Fred Karkalik; three grandchildren; and 10 great-grandchildren.

Family and friends may call on Monday, October 1, 2018 from 11 am-1 pm at Newcomer Cremations, Funerals & Receptions, 131 N. Canton Road, Akron, where funeral services will be held at 1 pm.
