Annie R. Elyard, 72, passed away June 15, 2009. Annie was born in Akron on September 15, 1936. She enjoyed spending time with her grandchildren and will be missed by all who knew her. She was preceded in death by her husband, Karl; and brothers, Earl and Pete Popa. She is survived by her daughters, Karla (Joel) Grecar of Akron and Kimberly (Charles) Millner of Cuyahoga Falls; brothers, Danny (Jean) Popa of Atwater and George (Bernice) Popa of Barberton; and grandchildren, Hannah, Samuel, Devin, and Arianna. Calling hours will be Friday from 2-4 and 6-9 p.m. at NEWCOMER FUNERAL HOME, 131 N. Canton Rd. A memorial service will be held Saturday at 11:30 a.m. at Northampton Bible Church, 333 W. Steels Corners Rd., Cuyahoga Falls, Pastor John Hopson officiating. A luncheon will be held at the church immediately following the service. Private burial will take place at Northlawn Memorial Gardens.
