Anthony "Tony" Adam Bamer passed away July 3, 2017 after fighting a blood infection that took over his body. He was born in Hungary on Dec. 20, 1939 to parents, Anthony and Mary K. (Heppe) Bamer. Tony worked at Akron Standard as a machinist for 42 years, retiring in 2002. He belonged to Firestone Park Primetimers, enjoyed hunting and fishing, playing cards and taking bus trips.
Tony was preceded in death by his parents and infant son. He is survived by loving wife, Wanda; children, Linda (Gary) Griffith, Janice (Bernie) Gartner, David (Kathy) Bamer, Tony Bamer; step-children, Philip (Sharon) Palmieri, Charlie (Mikki) Palmieri, Debbie (Mark) Schaffer, Vicki (Ray) Lukosavich, Dr. Autumn (Blaize) O'Brien; grandchildren, Christen, Matthew, Mark, Emily, Rachel, Nick; step-grandchildren, Jenny, David, Luke, Shelby, Megan, Tony, Rachel, Maeve, Brigid, Teague, Taryn; great-grandchildren, Logan, Liam, Tori, Kaia, Titus, Joshua; step-great-grandchildren, Julia, Allysa, Sydney, Kaitlynn, Micah, Elijah; sister, Theresa (Joe) Nicolino, Rosi (Lloyd) Bokman; uncle, Anthony (Helen) Heppe; many cousins, nieces and nephews, and special dog, Daisy.
Visitation will be held on Friday, July 7, 2017 at Newcomer Funeral Home, 131 N. Canton Rd., Akron, from 11am-2pm. Service will take place at 2pm.
