Antonio "Tony" Miljak
Antonio "Tony" Miljak, 78, of Akron, passed away on June 5, 2006 at his residence in Akron. He was a truck driver for 20 years carrying freight. Tony was also a Navy Veteran stationed on the USS Lindsey near the end of WWII. He was a member of many clubs but especially enjoyed belonging to the Croatian Club and the Army-Navy Club. He loved playing cards and barbecuing for all the family gatherings. He is preceded in death by his parents, Jacob and Olga Miljak; sisters, Pauline Donofrio and Violet Ellison; brother, Wallace Miljak. Tony is survived by his loving wife of 55 years, Winnie (nee Sowers); his daughter, Terri Hershman (Jim); his sons, Mark Miljak (Pam) and Jack Miljak (Sheryl); he is also survived by 8 grandchildren, 4 great-grandchildren and many neices and nephews. Family will receive friends at Newcomer Funeral Home, 131 N Canton Rd, Akron on Friday, June 9 from 5-8 pm. Funeral services will be held at the funeral home on Saturday at 10 AM.
