Antonio V. Rossi, "Tony", age 77 of Akron, Ohio, passed away peacefully on Christmas Day, December 25, 2020, after a short battle with cancer.
Antonio was born on November 15, 1943 in Carovilli, Molise, Italy where he spent the first 25 years of his life. After graduating college in Italy, he moved to the U.S. in 1968, joining the rest of his family that immigrated 3 years prior. For the next 30 years of his life, he lived in the North Hill area of Akron and proudly worked for Chrysler at the Twinsburg Stamping Plant. Upon his retirement in 1998, he moved to Fowler, Ohio, to a home he loved dearly.
Antonio is preceded in death by his parents, Galliano and Grazia (nee Carano) Rossi; and his brother-in-law, Attilio Spina.
Survivors include his loving sister, Claudia Spina (nee Rossi); his nephews, Mario Spina (Jami) and Anthony Spina (Brooke); great-nieces and -nephews, Ariana, Isabella, Dominic and Enzo Spina; his dear friends, Lori Spencer and Sara Warner. Antonio also leaves behind many other friends in the Fowler/Warren area who shared his love of listening and dancing to country western music.
A private graveside funeral service will be held at Holy Cross Cemetery in Akron.
