April Denise Ziegelhofer passed away in Navarre, Ohio on January 22, 2024, at the young age of 43. She was born to Debbie Lynn Walker and Jack Rosati on October 19, 1980 in Akron, Ohio. April met the love of her life, William (Bill) Ziegelhofer, in 2000 and became a step-mother to Emily and Nathan Ziegelhofer. After the passing of her mother in 2003, April and Bill became guardian of her little sister, Becky and raised her for the remainder of her teen years. It became April's mission to be an involved parent and for many years she was that Mom that "Wore many hats".
On July 31, 2005 April and Bill got married. A few years later, on January 15th 2007 they welcomed their beautiful daughter Trista Ann Ziegelhofer into the world. April loved being a mother and her daughter was her greatest joy. Over the years their family traveled on many vacations, they were in a bowling league together and they spent a large amount of time at their camper with family and friends.
For many years April worked as a dedicated therapy assistant at Fedorko Chiropractic where she became a part of the Fedorko family and made lifelong friendships that she cherished and held dear. Throughout that time April developed a truly special bond with her dear friend Susan Bresson Means.
April had an unwavering love for helping people and pursued her degree. She went on to graduate from Stark State College in 2010, where she earned her degree of Applied Science as a Physical Therapy Assistant. Upon graduation, she accepted a position with Pebble Creek Nursing Home where she found great gratification in helping others restore their health. She was passionate about helping her patients regain strength and independence.
April was the heart of her family. She was avid about coordinating holidays, such as, sister Christmas, hosting birthday parties and family euchre nights. She also enjoyed making jewelry, and doing crafts with her sisters and one of her many friends Sheila Kull. She would get so excited every year creating outfits for the twins so that they could participate in Twinsburg.
April was bold, ambitious and genuine. She was the kind of woman who would blurt out something overly personal and she was confident in who she was. She was "Real". She didn't look for the approval of anyone and she was an advocate for many. She would laugh at her own jokes often and she brought joy to everyone. Most of all she was passionate about the people she loved. April has a Special place in all of our Hearts that we will carry with us Forever.
She is preceded in death by her mother, Debbie Lynn Walker; grandfather, Jerry "Poppie" Rosati; grandmother, Nancy Klever Walker; aunt, Wendy Schlagenhauser; cousin, Daniel Schlagehauser; and nephew, Joey Gatwood.
