Archie Melton, 83, of Akron, passed away on December 26, 2016. He was born in Hazard, KY on April 21, 1933 to the late Jessie and Melinda Melton.
In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his wife, Donna; son, Gregory; brothers, Roscoe, Harrison, Charlie, and Jackie; and sister, Tilda Collins. He will be deeply missed by his son, Archie Lee Melton; daughters, Ruth Ann Melton Graber, Malinda Fleshman, and Denise Campbell; special granddaughter, Sherri Melton; 15 grandchildren and 20 great-grandchildren.
Family and friends may call on Friday, December 30, 2016 from 5-8 p.m. at NEWCOMER FUNERAL HOME, 131 N. Canton Rd., Akron, where funeral services will be held on Saturday at 11:00 a.m. Interment will take place on Monday, January 2nd at 11:00 a.m. at Boston Cemetery.
