Arleen R. Williams

Arleen R. Williams, born September 26, 1929, was called home to be with the Lord on June 23, 2017 after a long, courageous battle with cancer.
She was preceded in death by her husband, George; son, Dale; and parents, Roy and Cicely Carpenter.
She is survived by her loving family: children, Barry (Jill), Lillian Santee, Wendy (Joe) Samaco, Lois (Stan) Williams, and Bobbye (Joe) Grubich; 16 grandchildren and 22 great-grandchildren; loving daughters-in-law, Barb Fuller, Cheryl Goldstein, and Melba Hamilton; lifelong friends, June Carter and Rosemary Dzatko; and her constant four legged companion, Ginger.
Family will receive visitors on Thursday, June 29, 2017 from 5-7 followed by a 7:00 p.m. funeral service with Rev. James Allshouse officiating at NEWCOMER FUNERAL HOME, 131 N. Canton Rd., Akron. A procession will form at the funeral home on Friday at 10:30 a.m. followed by interment at Sunset Hills Memory Gardens.
The family would like to thank the staff of Crossroads Hospice for all the care given to Arleen. In lieu of flowers, the family requests memorial contributions may be made to the Cystic Fibrosis Foundation.
