Arlita Francis Evans

Arlita (Nana) Francis Evans, born May 10, 1944, went home to be with the Lord on December 9, 2010. She is preceded in death by her parents, Arthur & Marie Greenleaf; son, Arthur Gray; and special friend, John Evans. She is survived by daughter, Velvet (Jeff) Arthurs; her devoted partner and caregiver, Wendall Light; grandchildren, Nicholas, Brandy, Jacob and Courtney; sister, Pat (John) Bucholz; special friends, Sandy Rogero and Tricia Evans; and many more beloved family and friends.
Arlita was a graduate of Ellet High School; an employee of B.F. Goodrich for 35 years; a lifetime member of New Horizons Christian Church; and a loving and devoted mother, grandmother and friend. Calling hours will be from 4 - 5 p.m. on Tuesday, December 14 at New Horizons Christian Church, 290 Darrow Rd., Akron OH 44305 with a memorial service to follow at 5:00 p.m. with Rev. Jim Bane officiating. Dinner will follow the service.
