Arthur A. Sheakley
Arthur A. Sheakley went home to be with the Lord on March 6, 2008. He was born August 26, 1943 in Akron, Ohio to the late Robert A. & Betty R. (Bruce) Sheakley. Arthur graduated in 1961 from Central High School and then served in the U.S. Army where he was stationed in Germany E-4 form 1961 - 1963. He was a deputy sheriff and worked many years as a car salesman. His greatest joy was writing a book about the car business and how he got saved at 56 years old. He called the book "Do Car Salesman Go To Heaven?" Arthur was a member of the Kenmore Nazarene Church. He is survived by his wife of 36 years, Sandy; son, Mark (Maria); daughters, Jennifer (Brian) and Christina; and his precious granddaughter, Lauren Paige. Calling hours will be Sunday from 4 - 7 p.m. at Newcomer Funeral Home, 131 N. Canton Rd., Akron and on Monday from 10 - 11 a.m. at Kenmore Church of the Nazarene, 2025 12th St., SW, where funeral services will begin at 11:00 a.m. with Pastor Terry W. Passmore officiating. Interment will follow at Greenlawn Memorial Park. Memorial contributions may be made to Kenmore Church of the Nazarene, 2025 12th St., SW, Akron OH 44314.
