Arthur J. Collins

Arthur J. Collins, 86, passed away January 17, 2023 at Mulberry Gardens. Born in Akron, Ohio to Daniel and Mary (Watkins) Collins, he was a lifelong area resident. Art was a proud U.S. Army Veteran and he retired after many years of being a certified welder. He enjoyed playing euchre, visits to Las Vegas, watching Hee Haw and listening to country music.

In addition to his parents he was preceded in death by his wife, Mae Collins; siblings, Thomas Collins, Sr. Francis Collins. He will be sadly missed by his siblings, Dan Collins, Joyce Horvath, Mary Collins; numerous nieces and nephews.

Art's family would like to thanks the staffs of Mulberry Gardens Memory Care and Amedisys Hospice for their loving care of Art.

Family and friends are invited to visit Monday, January 30, 2023 from 10 to 11 a.m. at Blessed Trinity Church, 300 E. Tallmadge Ave. The funeral mass will follow at 11 a.m. at the church. Interment at Holy Cross Cemetery. Those who wish may make memorial donations in Art's name to Blessed Trinity Food Pantry.
