Arthur Knowles, 89, of Akron, passed away March 23, 2013. He was born in Barberton on May 24, 1923 to the late Matthew and Janet Knowles.
He was preceded in death by his loving wife Marcene, and brother, Otto.
Arthur is survived by his children, Duffy (Rose), Sandi (Cliff) Arnold, Janet (Chuck) Shuman, Onie (Lou) Yovanovich, Dr. Doug (Jill), Debbie (Dennis) Getz; many grandchildren and great-grandchildren; brother, Steve (Mary Lou) Knowles.
The family loved their dad and grandfather and he will be missed greatly. A private family memorial service will be held at NEWCOMER FUNERAL HOME, 131 N. Canton Rd. Inurnment to take place at Greenlawn Memorial Park.
