Arthur "Doug" Ralphsnyder

Arthur “Doug” Ralphsnyder, 53, of Akron, Ohio, passed away on December 13, 2024, after a courageous battle with cancer. Born February 7, 1971, to William and Shirley Ralphsnyder. Arthur grew up in Akron, where he graduated from Akron Central-Hower High School. A man of exceptional skill and dedication, he worked as a proud union carpenter for over 30 years. Arthur found joy in life’s simple pleasures: spending time outdoors, listening to music, and sharing moments with his loyal dog, Max. He is preceded in death by his mother, Shirley and his beloved dog, Max. Arthur is survived by his loving wife of 31 years, Lisa; his cherished daughter, Abigail (Michael) Anderson; his father, William; his siblings, Grayg (Joellen) Ralphsnyder; Jennifer Kapelka; and Steven Ralphsnyder; and many nieces and nephews. Arthur will live on in the hearts of those who loved him. His legacy is defined by the strong relationships he built with those around him and the pride he took in his work. In accordance with Arthur’s wishes, there will be no formal services as he was directly cremated. The family asks that you honor his memory in your own special way. In lieu of flowers, the family requests donations be made in his memory to Crossroads Hospice and Palliative Care that provided him with excellent care and compassion throughout his journey. Your contributions will support their vital work and help other families in need. Arthur’s memory will be cherished by all who knew him, and he will forever remain in our hearts.
