Arthur N. Salsgiver

Arthur N. Salsgiver, 86 years old, passed away at Evergreen Rehab and Specialty Care Center, Medina. Ohio on February 12, 2005. He was a retired Teamster Truck Driver for Roadway Express. Arthur was an avid hunter and fisherman,a member of Amos Englebeck Lodge #751, and also a thirty-second degree mason of Scottish Rite of Valley of Akron. He will be sadly missed by his daughter and son-in-law, Carol and Roger Curtis of Akron; sons and daughters-in-law, Bruce and Patricia Salsgiver of Lodi, Robert and Pam Salsgiver of CA, and Bill and Joanie Salsgiver of Norton; brother and sister-in-law, Dale and Marietta Salsgiver of PA; grandchildren, Becky Jo, Kelley Jo, Mandy, Matthew, Kelsey, David, Joey, Jimmy, Danny, and Josh; many nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by his parents; his wife of 53 years, Ruby; son, David; and brother, Gene. The family would like to express a warm thank you to the staff at Evergreen for the love and care that was given to Arthur. Family and friends may call on Tuesday from 2-4 and 6-8 p.m. at NEWCOMER FUNERAL HOME, 131 N. Canton Rd., with a masonic service at 7:30 p.m. . Funeral services will be held Wednesday at 11 a.m. with Pastor Paul Rodrigues officiating. Interment at Greenlawn Memorial Park. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to the American Cancer Society.
